Ceros Operations
Workflow Improvement for a Family-Owned Mechanical Contractor (In Progress)
Current Focus: Workflow Documentation and Operational Baseline Development
In an active engagement with a family-owned mechanical contractor, Ceros Operations is helping document and clarify how work currently flows through the business. The work to date has focused on key workflows across accounts payable, accounts receivable, construction projects, and service booking, including handoffs between office staff, field labour, management, vendors, and billing activities.
Early work has identified unclear process ownership, inconsistent handoffs, underused software tools, and decision bottlenecks. The engagement has already helped improve communication between field and office staff, reduce time spent searching for current information, and create clearer ownership of operational information.
The engagement remains in its early stages. Current next steps include mapping additional workflows such as fleet management, inventory control, and HR/timesheet processes; improving the use of existing software tools; cleaning operational data; supporting team training; and developing onboarding documentation for new team members.
Client Feedback
Coordinating Complex Work with Steady Follow-Through
In support of a nonprofit community fundraiser, Ceros helped coordinate the planning and execution of a community outdoor music festival involving multiple moving parts, stakeholders, and event-day logistics. The event was delivered smoothly and successfully supported the client's charitable fundraising goals.
"It was a great pleasure working with Darrell for our event. He was able to keep track of all the moving pieces over the entire planning process, and the event went off without a hitch. It was great to hand over a sizable cheque to our charity."
